One must assess potential, motivation, and psychological state to determine whether the patient can function optimally (Seligman & Csikszentmihalyi, 2000). The experience of infertility varies from person to person. Evaluating the patient’s psychological state before clinical treatment is crucial. Infertility can induce stress comparable to chronic diseases such as cancer or heart disease (Domar, Zuttermeister & Friedman, 1993). If psychological risk factors aren’t identified early, appropriate interventions may be missed, leading to more serious complications (Verhaak et al., 2007).
